Masonry is the one landscape element that becomes more beautiful with age. In Arizona's punishing climate, the difference between a good job and a cheap one is measured in decades, not years.

Four Masonry
Applications.

Stucco privacy wall in Arizona backyard
01

Privacy Walls

CMU block with columns, pilasters, and caps — finished in stucco, stone veneer, or brick. Engineered to Arizona wind loads to block sight lines, cut street noise, and define your yard.

02

Utility Walls

Screen walls that hide pool equipment, A/C units, trash enclosures, and side-yard utilities — same structural core and finish as the rest of your hardscape, so the eyesores disappear.

03

Retaining Walls

Engineered through caliche hardpan. Proper footings, drain-rock backfill, and weep holes — never skipped. Natural stone or stucco finish over a solid grouted core.

04

Kitchen

CMU structural core only — no wood framing. Gas, electric, and water rough-in before the slab. Stone veneer, stucco, or tile finish with full appliance fitment built in.

// Material Science

We only build
with what lasts.

Arizona's heat cycles, alkaline soil, and monsoon saturation create a punishing environment. We've narrowed our material palette to what performs over decades — not just the first season.

// How We Build It

Our Masonry
Process.

01

Site Assessment

We probe soil depth, locate caliche layers, assess drainage patterns, and photograph the site from multiple angles. Nothing gets drawn until we understand what the ground is actually doing.

02

Engineering & Drainage

Where a wall calls for it, we produce a structural plan and design the drainage before any block is laid — footing depth, reinforcement, drain rock, and weep holes spec'd to your site, not guessed. It's what keeps the wall standing after the first monsoon.

03

Foundation & Core

Footings poured to depth, rebar set, CMU block laid, cells grouted solid. The structure is complete and cured before a single finish material is applied. No cosmetic shortcuts over a weak core.

04

Finish & Seal

Scratch coat, veneer or stucco, cap installation, full sealing before we leave the site. Every exposed masonry surface gets the correct sealer — natural stone, stucco, and block each require different products.

I initially received a quote from Alex at Easy Landscape Solutions in the spring, but the timing wasn't right for us then. We scheduled his team this fall, and I'm so glad we waited! The difference they made is incredible — the quality of their work, attention to detail, and pricing were all top-tier.

I have never had a better experience with a company in my entire life. Alex and his team were outstanding. We chose them because of Alex's attention to detail, his family-inclusive style, and how easy he and his team are to work with.

// Common Questions

Masonry
FAQ.

Yes. When a wall needs a structural plan, we produce it and design the drainage before any block is laid — footing depth, reinforcement, drain rock, and weep holes all spec'd to your site. We'll walk you through exactly what your specific wall requires during the free site visit.
A properly reinforced, sealed, and drained CMU wall can last 50+ years. The failures we see are almost always missing drainage (hydrostatic pressure from behind) or under-reinforced block with no rebar or grout. Both are non-negotiable in every structure we build.
For large veneer applications, quality manufactured stone is often the smarter call — lighter, consistent, visually indistinguishable. For caps, stepping stones, and focal accents, we prefer natural travertine or flagstone. We'll make a specific recommendation after seeing your project.
Privacy & utility walls: $60–140/linear ft. Retaining walls: $120–200+/linear ft depending on height and conditions. Outdoor kitchens: $8,000–12,000 base. Free on-site quote with real numbers for your project.
Yes — and the best outdoor spaces almost always combine both. Privacy walls bordering paver areas, kitchens adjacent to patio slabs, retaining walls at grade changes. We coordinate material choices with your existing finishes so everything reads as a unified design.
